Importing Media
There are several different methods and workflows for importing media into PluralEyes. Both files and folders may now be imported into PluralEyes.
Adding media folders or files
When you initially start PluralEyes, the Media Bin Pane is empty and displays “Media Folders or Files Drop Here”.

- To add media to a PluralEyes project simply drag a folder, several folders or a project folder directly from the browser window to the Media Bin Pane. PluralEyes will automatically create and name bins based on the folder names and will add all of the appropriate files to the bins.
- Alternatively, click the Add Media button at the top of the PluralEyes window to browse and select folders to add to the Media Bin Pane.
- Finally, click the 'Add Media Bin' button below the Media Bin list to add individual bins one at a time to the Media Bin Pane. If you choose this workflow you will need to manually add files to the bins once the bins are created.
- Optionally, to rename a bin, double-click its name.
- Drag additional files to a media bin or click the + button below the Media Bin Pane to browse and select files to add to the bin.
- Once files are imported PluralEyes analyzes the files, then displays each clip in the Media Bin Pane and the tracks on the Timeline. The process takes between a few seconds and a few minutes, depending on the total length of your footage.
- Repeat above steps as needed.

Adding files from a camera card
For this example, you have copied your media files directly from a supported camera card to a project folder so all of your media is intact and mirrors what was on the card. Supported camera cards are; AVCHD, P2, XDCAM, DCIM and CanonXF.
